Star Struck

Sweater: Mossimo for Target sold out online {similar style} | Chambray Shirt: Old Navy | Skirt: Banana Republic Thrifted | Belt: Vintage > Mom | Mary Janes: old but {obsessed with these} | Necklaces: Old but {love these}| Watch: Skagen | Bracelets: JCREW, c/o A Beautiful Heart | Sunnies: Jimmy Choo | Bag: Modalu

Promise there is no yellow theme this week...but if there is that is ok too :)

So in order to look for new inspiration and ideas, I think it is so important to utilize every resource that is available out there! Lately, I have really been studying up on a lot of fashion blogs to get a new take on some fashion trends that I have not been very partial to in the past! I just want to thank all you ladies for really teaching me some new tricks of the trade! I totally have a new perspective on not only fashion, but on styling and how to mix new with old, layering, how to score a great deal, diy projects, and so much more!

For this post I really wanted to try and go out of my comfort box. I have never been big into the preppy inspired ensembles...but lately the way that I have seen some bloggers layer some of their pieces to achieve a very "Hamptons Inspired" look has me itching to try my own take on it! So I thought no better way to do this than with my chambray shirt, Mossimo star sweater from Target, and my thrifted Banana Republic button down skirt! Hope that I did you ladies proud!

Have a great Wednesday!
Keep it cool and refreshing!

I also fell in love recently with this FABULOUS H&M collar necklace that I have seen floating about! Even though the nearest H&M store is about 500 miles from me..I was able to track down this score on Ebay cha ching lol! How do you feel about the bordeaux/oxblood red trend this season?! Love it as a neutral color tone! It blends so well with everything!

Ok fashionistas I just have to be brutally honest for a minute.....I NEVER EVER EVER EVER curl my hair! All of you lovely ladies out there who have those beautiful flowy locks that drape down for ages and look perfectly in place at all times...let me just say that I am BEYOND jealous! You might be wondering why I have not the slightest interest in curling my hair and believe me I have at least 3 good reasons lol!

1. My hair is bone straight and refuses to hold a curl!
2. I live in the hot and humid south where the minute you step
outside it feels like you have just gotten out of the shower
and if you do curl your hair it will only last at most 5 minutes!
3. It just takes too long lol!

HOWEVER! I wanted to try something a little different for today's post and show everybody what my hair would look like if I decided to try to curl it! {I keep telling myself if only I could move to Colorado I would always have a great hair day lol}

Now onto the outfit! I found these great light wash denim shorts at Old Navy the other day for a steal at $5! Keeping with the Old Navy theme {which by the way they have some great finds lately} I had to spend my Old Navy cash last week and found this gorgeous caramel colored bomber jacket! I love this color for fall and I love this look paired with a pair of military inspired boots!

Have a great Wednesday!
Keep it cool and refreshing!

Dress: Tahari via TJMAXX {try this chic style} | Shoes: Vintage {love these} | Pearls: TJMAXX and Tiffany & Co. | Earrings: Versona | Watch: Sottomarino Italia | Sunnies: House of Harlow  Clutch: ASOS |

Do you ever feel like you just have a closet full of great finds but sometimes you just feel like you can't find anything to wear?! I definitely had "that moment" this weekend! So, I decided to start browsing my closet for some oldies but goodies that I haven't used in quite some time and came across this little black number from one of my bridal showers a couple of years ago. With all of the lovely posts coming out of New York Fashion week, I couldn't help but feel the urge to try and continue with a classic black theme for today's post! If you haven't noticed I decided to try a different look with my hair and added in some dramatic of course the minute I put this dress on I couldn't help but feel a bit like a blonde Audrey Hepburn! {lol!}. I love how classic can always feel so chic and modern any time of the year! How do you modernize your own take on the good old classics?!

Have a great Tuesday
Keep it cool and refreshing!

Cotton Candy

Top: TJMAXX {style stealer} | Faux Leather Skirt: Forever 21 | Shoes: Ellen Tracey {adore these}| Clutch: Vintage Louis Vuitton | Necklace: Charlotte Russe | Sunglasses: House of Harlow

Welcome to another Monday my fellow fashionistas!

With a crazy past week and weekend under my belt, it was nice to take finally get back to normal and take some photos to get back on track for this weeks posts {although these pics were taken before my new found bangs!} Sticking with my love of faux leather, I decide to use my Forever 21 skirt last seen here and pair it with this lovely hot pink sheer TJMAXX top that reminds me so much of a beautiful cotton candy color! After searching for a rhinestone collar necklace that wouldn't set me out $50 or more I fell in love with this little gem when I spotted her at Charlotte Russe for $8.50! And of course we can't forget to always add in a touch of leopard with the heels :)

I will also be in and out this week with more dental procedures..but thank you so much for all the well wishes!

Have a great week fashion loves!
